Bio

I am a life-long visual artist based in San Rafael, Ca., who draws inspiration from both natural and man-made subjects that hold symbolic significance for me.  I take a process-oriented approach to painting in acrylics whereby I make spontaneous underpinnings that are independent of the intended subject to be painted on top. Through the use of transparent layering and abstraction I aim to describe the ineffable life force that exists within and animates all things.
